Almost ready for my trip to Tuktoyaktuk via Yellowknife

Today was a day to get everything ready for the long road trip through Yukon and NWT. First to Yellowknife and  Wood buffalo National park but will take a while before I"m there.

Tommorow I pick up my Car for that.  For today in whitehorse I rented a car, asked for a small one.

Was not zo small afterall.

I stay 2 nights in the Skky hotel to adjust to the 9 hours time difference before I start. the road trip.

Hotel is close to the largest windvane in the world.

For lunch I bought some european food , I went to the same shop as where I will stock-up my car with food and water for the next days /weeks. 

In a sports shop I bought other things need. The next are most important in bear country out there.

On the way back to the hotel I had my first wet snow of the trip.

The day started sunny and ended sunny but in between one hour of hail / wet snow.

In this direction I will go tomorow  (monday)
