In the Skky hotel in Whitehorse again

After a almost 12000 km through beautifull northwest Canada I"m back in the Skky hotel in Whitehorse.  Here I could get proper internet for 5 dollar (24 hours). First time this holiday  ;-)

I returned my car in the morning and had a nice dinner in the Korean restaurant in the hotel.  Also I could uploaded a lot of video's so please look there too.

Now some pictures from the last week.

Above was along the dempster highway.

Below 3 pictures from the Top of the World Highway to the border with Alaska.

Since I planned a Canada only holiday I turned my Car just in front of the Customs Building. Nobody came after me  ;-)

I tried if my camouflage colors worked, but I don't think so.

 Dawson from across the river.  The hill in the center is the Midnight Dome, from there I took pictures before.

 This is the campground were I stayed earlier for 2 nights.  very crowded, like a parking lot,  But advantage is that is is in the middle of dawson and only a 2 minutes walk to the Gambling Hall / Can Can show. So very good for having a beer there.

In Dawson the clear Klondike river meets the muddy Yukon River.

 In the middle of gravel road outside the highway.  Not working but funny to see it in the middle of nowhere

 On the ferry from the top of the world highway to Dawson.  The put blocks before my front wheels.

 Doing a carwash in Dawson.  mud of the car goes on the pants.. In Whitehorse I did it again this moning before returning it.

 Along the Klondike highway from Dawson to Whitehorse you see a lot of purple along the road.

A not so clear picture of  a sandhill Crane,  I saw this going to an airstrip of the road.  there were no planes only 2 of these.

At campground Fox Lake I had my last campfire of the tour.  Had 6 this trip and that was nice.

The next one misses some important parts. but it can still float I think

at whitehorse they have a fish ladder ( with Salmon art)

Salmons are already going upstream to their birth grounds/waters.  The need 3 months to go through alaska where they are now to up the rivers in yukon.

when they are at the fishladder you can see them through windows in the visitor center, now you see only water  ;-)  but still interesting.

And now it is time to close.  repack my stuff for the travel tomorow.

First flight out of 3 ( Whitehorse - Vancouver is at 6.00 AM.
