Back in Dawson
Hi all I am back in Dawson after a great trip over the Dempster higway and the new Inuvik Tuk highway. Highway just means road not that it is a good one. Some places i could not even go 10 km an hour through the mud. But it was great. Only 3 full days to go in my truck. But whitehorse is only 7 hours drive away. I hope that i can load some pictures on my phone tonight. Have a campground site with electricity. If it works . Have to see. Friday my car needed had oil change. Needed one 1500 km back but it is hard to find a place where they can do it. I foun one in inuvik where i could come back after 2 days. They bring cars 1250 km from there to whitehorse if it need bigger repairs or computer resets. So 2500 km . They put 1 or 2 cars on a flatbed truck and drive off. Car owners stay in Inuvik. Bye for now
sounds like quite an interesting drive. Guess without the 4WD, you would not have been able to make it. Interesting that they do oil changes, during the renting time.Would have anticipated, all ready before you start the trip. Whatever two das in a motel might be a good chance to take a shower in a real bathroom. ;o) Take care, older one.
